Mercy House Cold Weather Shelter The Orange County Cold Weather Armory Emergency Shelter program provides up to 400 beds per night for the homeless at the National Guard Armories in Fullerton and Santa Ana. The homeless will receive a nutritious meal, a warm shower, and a safe place to sleep. Volunteers pass out donations of warm clothing and Service Providers from Orange County are on site to provide needed services.
To reserve a spot with your parent notify Ed Camacho before February 13, 2017 by email. Parent will need to download, print, sign and bring to the shelter all the required forms below. Space is very limited and will fill-up quickly so reserve you spot today.
Santa Ana Emergency Cold Weather Shelter operated by Mercy House for the evening shift (5:30 PM to 8:30 PM)
* Tuesday, March 7 – Two volunteers needed
* Tuesday, March 28 – Four volunteers needed
* Tuesday, April 4 – Five volunteers needed
Requirements: Age limit: 12 years and older with parent present All volunteers must SIGN & BRING a completed waiver to the first volunteer shift.the Waiver Form and Volunteer Agreement before volunteering for each season. Please bring the completed waivers and agreements to your shift. An onsite coordinator will be present to file them accordingly.
