A Message from Fr. Paul
Dear Friends and Parishioners,
It is winter-time and we can feel it in the air! I hope you are in good health and great spirit! On my day-off, I take it as my personal hobby to build you a new Advent Wreath, to lift up the spirit during time of Pandemic. However, this news announcement just came from our Bishop and Vicar General:
“At 2:30 p.m. [Monday], November 16, 2020, Governor Newsom officially announced a change to the Covid-19 tier system effective immediately. Due to this change, Orange County has returned to the most restrictive level, PURPLE. This means that by no later than 2:30 p.m. [Tuesday November 17th], Masses, baptisms, funerals, weddings, [meetings, gatherings] etc. may only occur outdoors.
We understand that other information will be forthcoming from the Governor’s Office in the coming days, and that restrictions might become even tighter. We will do our best to keep you updated. Also, for your information, 94% of the California population is now in the most restrictive tier, purple.”
Our staff and I have offered a quick response to move our masses and other sacraments outdoor again. Since it gets cold and dark earlier outdoor, there is one adjustment to our Saturday evening mass, as follows:
Weekdays — 8:30am OUTDOOR
Saturday — 4pm OUTDOOR
Sunday — 9am and 11am OUTDOOR
Many thanks to your cooperation and spiritual courage during this time.
