Lent
On Ash Wednesday, from dawn till evening, we find Catholic men, women, and children making their way to Church for what many believe an important and serious liturgy. When receiving ashes on our foreheads, we are reminded that our lives on earth are bounded in time, and that we are responsible for how we use this gift of life. LENT is a time of preparation, a time when we take these forty Lenten days to simplify; and quietly reflect on the grace that help us live the Christian life as Jesus taught.
Do we strive to become closer to God?
Do we work for peace & goodness?
Do we find strength in God’s love to do what is right?
Do we base our lives, our choices on prayer?
Do we live justly, with charity, with truth?
