Legion of Mary
THE LEGION OF MARY ~ “MARY CAUSE OF OUR JOY”
The Legion is one the largest Catholic Lay organizations in the world.
The primary objectives of the Legion are increasing the holiness of its members and assisting the pastor in parish works such as: taking Holy Communion to the sick and homebound, visiting the sick at home, in the hospital or other nursing facilities, and visiting youth detained in Juvenile Hall. Legionaries also allocate some time to engage in the evangelization of those fallen away from the church and those who may have interest in learning about our faith.
If you are a practicing Catholic and are interested in advancing your spiritual life, working with fellow Legionaries and increasing your devotion to the Blessed Mother—then you should seriously consider becoming a “soldier” in Mary’s army, the Legion of Mary.
The Legion is comprised of active members who attend weekly meetings and non active members or auxiliaries who can’t attend meetings but agree to perform certain required Legion prayers at home.
Feel free to attend a meeting any Tuesday evening at 7:00pm in the parish hall, room CR2. For more information, contact Jeff Nameth: firstname.lastname@example.org
