Charlotte C. Prather Phone (949) 854-1000 x 225 In their pastoral plan, Our Hearts Were Burning within Us, the bishops of the United States have placed adult faith formation in first priority in the work of catechesis. Adult faith that is living, explicit, and fruitful is the goal of our work in catechesis here at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. The study of the sacred Scriptures is the most important task of adult religious education. Currently, there is a women's Scripture study meeting weekly at St. John Neumann Church, with women from both parishes participating. Child care is available and leadership is shared.Several small faith communities meet within the parish. The opportunity to form additional communities is always available with support and resources provided. Generally, the Sunday Scripture readings form the basis for community prayer and reflection. |
